Patients will receive cetuximab 400 mg\u002Fm2 on day 1, week 1. Following this loading dose, patients will receive weekly cetuximab 250 mg\u002Fm2 (day 8, 15, 22, etc.) until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. Patients will continue to receive irinotecan and cisplatin weekly on day 1 and day 8, on an every 21 day cycle. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Cetuximab may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for their growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and irinotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing.
