Unlike conventional RF, in cooled RF through a closed circuit where intravenous flows, we can create an injury for a longer period of time, at a lower temperature (standard RFA 90º C, cooled RFA 60º C) and within an area 8 times larger. As the lesion is spherical, and larger (about 10-12 mm in diameter), the chances of neurolysis of the nerve increase.",[14],{"name":15,"affiliation":5,"role":16},"Andrés Camprodón Alberca","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",{"type":16,"investigatorFullName":15,"investigatorTitle":18,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":7,"oldOrganization":7},"Orthopedic Surgeon",[20,23],{"name":21,"class":22},"José Andrés López Riquelme","UNKNOWN",{"name":24,"class":22},"María del Pilar Sanchís Cortés","100312158","retrospective-study-of-the-results-of-cooled-radiofrequency-for-genicular-nerves-neurotomy-in-40-consecutive-patients-with-osteoarthritis-of-the-knee-and-painful-knee-arthroplasty-100312158",false,"NCT03343808","Retrospective Study of the Results of Cooled Radiofrequency for Genicular Nerves Neurotomy in 40 Consecutive Patients With Osteoarthritis of the Knee and Painful Knee Arthroplasty","Pain Treatment With Cooled Radiofrequency in Osteoarthritis and Total Knee Arthroplasty: Case Series in Hospital Universitario de Son Espases","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Chronic knee pain (older than 3 months, with no response to physiotherapy, medication or hyaluronic acid infiltration) with a pain intensity according to VAS\\>7\u002F10\n* The radiological criteria were witness of OA with Kellgren-Lawrence index of 2 to 4.\n* Painful TKA with no apparent cause and with a radiological image where a proper placement was observed\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Infection or lymphangitis of the member\n* Acute knee pain\n* Corticoids or hyaluronic acid infiltration with a high molecular weight prior to the surgery\n* Pregnancy\n* Severe neurological or psychiatric disorders\n* Patients with pacemakers","ALL","40 Years","90 Years",{"count":36,"type":37},40,"ACTUAL","OBSERVATIONAL","Analyze the results of cooled radiofrequency in patients with chronic knee pain after one year of follow- up.",[41],"Osteoarthritis, Knee",[43,44,45,46],"Cooled radiofrequency","chronic knee pain","knee arthroplasty","genicular nerve","COMPLETED","2017-11-17",{"date":50,"type":37},"2017-11-20",{"date":52,"type":37},"2015-01-08",{"date":54,"type":37},"2017-05-26",{"name":5,"class":6}]
